MEMORY, MEANING, & LACK THEREOF BY JOSEPH WALIA

Although not really new, we had been meaning to dedicate a post about the first personal show of our dear friend Joseph Walia a while ago in Vancouver.

Here is a short intro from Joseph in his own unique and emotional way.

"Around The Time When I Was Preparing This Presentation, I Was Fortunate To Find A Copy of Kennedy Vol. 1.

In Some Sense I Feel As Though That Particular Piece of Print Found Me.

Upon Reading The Editor's Note, "In All Honesty", I Felt My Spirit Lift Through The Fog of Self Doubt, Which Had Been Thickening As The Date of The Opening Drew Closer.

Wedged Between The Stress of Setting Up The Show, The Heavy Embrace of Exhaustion, & The Sharp Stings of Moments of Clarity, The First Volume of Kennedy Served As An Anchor During Those Beautiful Days At Neighbour's "51 Powell" Space.

As Always, I Am Humbled In Gratitude To Saager, Karyna, & The Whole Neighbour Family For Their Perpetual Encouragement & Generosity.

I Also Emphasize This Sentiment of Appreciation Towards My Big Brother, Chris Kontos, Who Has Always Been Steadfast In His Support Throughout These Years.

On Behalf of The Readers of Kennedy, I Would Like To Take This Opportunity To Say,

Thank You Chris !

Keep Fighting

The Good Fight !

Love,

Joseph"

Here are some pics from the actual show and some that were shown.
