CHRISTOPHE BRUNNQUELL AND JENN KANG PUBLISH NEW ART BOOK "LIVE IN TOKYO"

The artist Christophe Brunnquell and the photographer Jenn Kang are delighted to announce their new art book "LIVE IN TOKYO" is launching in advance at Daikanyama TSUTAYA Bookstore in Japan. In addition, to commemorate the publication, both artists Christophe Brunnquell and Jenn Kang will hold a signing session in store from 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25th.

“LIVE IN TOKYO” is a collection of monochrome art photographs that Christophe Brunnquell had been planning as a concept for several years. After finishing his solo exhibition in Tokyo last summer of 2024, he started to shoot with the photographer, Jenn who was staying in Tokyo at the same time.

Last year, inbound demand in Japan reached an all-time high, and many foreign tourists were probably thinking, "I want to live in Tokyo!" In this work, Japanese women on the street corner dressed as the artist himself and posing with the Tokyo cityscape in the background embody the representing desire to emigrate of all. Please enjoy this ultra-analog, humorous and fantasy-filled world in the modern age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
